How can I take part?
1. Join on your bike
We plan a Grand Départ from Murrayfield at 2pm on Thursday 14th,
cycling via Edinburgh Airport to see off the Scottish team, and then
heading on a leisurely 40 mile route to Stirling, where you may like to
hear Mark talk about his Around the World in 80 Days adventure at the
While Mark gets prepared for that, Rob will be
loading up with carbs at the MacRobert Arts Centre cafe and would welcome
your company before we head along to be humbled by Mark’s exploits.
At about 9.30 pm Mark, Tom, Rob and Russell will be setting off in earnest on
the main body of the ride, pointing their bikes south towards
Twickenham, with 40 hrs to get there.
We would love additional riders to join us en route but on the understanding
that you will need to be self-sufficient and responsible for yourselves.
Although we will be happy to chat, we are on a tight schedule and need to be at Twickenham with the ball by 2pm!
If you cannot join us on the road in person, you can still take part virtually.
Set yourself a 500 mile challenge, on your own or in a team with family or friends in support of Doddie.
